Semeli Zarmakoupi

Taekwondo/ Kick Boxing

My name is Semeli Zarmakoupi, I was born on 23 April 2002 and I live in the picturesque town of Karpenisi, Evritania. I first engaged in sports at the age of 3, as my father, who is also my coach, has a school in Karpenisi. I have participated in many tournaments, and I have had many distinctions in national and European championships, as well as in international games. Yet, my biggest achievement this far has been my participation in the World Kickboxing Championship held in Dublin, Ireland, in September 2016. There, under our national colors, I won the first place in the kick light category and the second place in the light contact category. This success gave me strength and dreams for the future, as my goal is my participation, and why not distinction, in the Olympic Games.

“Effort symbolizes the journey of an athlete towards the fulfillment of his goal, whatever this goal may be.”
