Elena Papastamatopoulou
Para Taekwondo
Elena Papastamatopoulou, born on July 21, 2002, in Ioannina, is a top Greek para taekwondo athlete.
She has achieved significant distinctions, such as the bronze medal at the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris in the +65 kg category and the gold medal at the international championship in Antalya, Turkey in 2025.
Alongside her athletic career, she is in her fifth year of medical studies at the University of Ioannina.
Eleni continues to set high goals and strives for new successes, representing Greece with passion and dedication.
What does OPAP Champions mean to you?
I am a new athlete in the team, but I already feel that I am coming close to a big family that shares the same dreams and the same goals, as in the battles we fight we need good allies to achieve our goals and raise our Greece as high as we can.
