Local amateur clubs' Support Program
OPAP is yet again a standing supporter of Greek football, announcing the launch of a Support Program for local, amateur football clubs throughout Greece, in recognition of the critical and difficult financial juncture amateur football finds itself at. The program actively supports over 3,000 local clubs which are the "cell" of football in the country and are part of the 53 Football Club Associations.
Driven by the company's commitment to the continuous upgrade in quality of Greek football and improving conditions for conducting sporting activities, the Support Program addresses specific needs such as sports and medical equipment as well as insurance cover for amateur players during training sessions and matches.
The Support Program will begin in July 2016 and all Football Club Associations, whose Board of Directors members face no outstanding legal impediment, will be able to join.
