Alex Antetokounmpo

I was born in Athens in the 22nd of August 2001 and started sports at the age of 10. My older brothers have been a great influence on me regarding basketball and sports in general. I am grateful for that as a team sport such as basketball, has helped me realize the value of cooperation and how you can develop and control yourself within a greater collectivity. Τhis has advanced me generally in my everyday life not only in sports. My carrier was initiated in Greece when I started playing at Filathlitikos Team. After moving in the States I played at my high school team, the Dominican, where I graduated in 2020. For the 2020-2021 season I decided to play in Europe as I believe that this will give me the opportunity to feel earlier the pressure of professional basketball, compete with older and more experienced basketball opponents and most importantly learn and gain knowledge from the European Basketball which, I believe, will help me into my next carrier steps. The fact that in 2020 I will play in the Spanish Basketball Championship and specifically in Murcia BC makes me anticipate as it is a team that showed their interest in me from the very beginning and seems that it is interested in helping me develop further my talent and leave me space to make mistakes in order to get better.
