Sakis Rouvas, Elena Paparizou, Eleni Foureira excite fans - Surprise duets, dancing and glamour at the top concert of the year
A unique night of music with the shining light of Greece’s top pop stars was experienced by more than 12.000 spectators who visited Markopoulo Park in droves on Sunday, 22 September 2019, to attend OPAP’s “All Stars Concert”. Sakis Rouvas, Elena Paparizou and Eleni Foureira starred on stage in a fantastic three-hour live show, exciting fans who were taken away by the rhythm. The concert was attended by the OPAP network partners and agents, employees, customers, businessmen, representatives of bodies and media, athletes, horseracing enthusiasts and members of the horse racing community. The Alcatrash band and debutant Iasonas Mandilas performed opening acts to the show.
The “All Stars Concert” is the first event of “OPAP Music”, the company’s new activity pillar, which aims at offering entertainment experiences to people through various initiatives. OPAP enhances its presence in the field of entertainment and Markopoulo Park is being established as a modern concert venue, located just 30 minutes away from Athens. The premiere of “OPAP Music” was also connected to a good cause: support for the Make-A-Wish foundation.
OPAP CEO, Damian Cope, stressed: “Today is a special day for OPAP and Markopoulo Park. We are delighted that thousands of people came here today to enjoy OPAP’s “All Stars Concert”. Entertainment is at the heart of our company’s activities and we will continue to offer new entertainment experiences to the people”.
OPAP Deputy CEO, Odysseas Christoforou, pointed out: “With this concert we organized today, we inaugurate the new “OPAP Music” pillar which aims at offering unique entertainment experiences to the public”.
OPAP 1st Vice President, Mr. Spyros Fokas, stated: “We are showcasing Markopoulo Park as a multi-purpose venue for shows and entertainment. Markopoulo Park combines the spectacular sport of horseracing with a series of activities for the whole family, at a beautiful natural landscape, which is easily accessible”.
Markopoulo Park “gallops” towards a new era
Τhe top music & dance event kicked off after the completion of the Greek program of horseraces, which were held, like every Sunday, at Markopoulo Park. Many people had the opportunity to explore the facilities of the Athens Horse Racing Track and follow the program’s eight races.
Markopoulo Park is a unique entertainment park for families, which, apart from horseracing, also hosts equestrian shows, car festivals and motor racing, sporting events, as well as activities for the whole family, such as pony rides, visits to the stables, animal petting, magic shows and creative workshops for children.
