OPAP: Supporting Children, Supporting Society

Our company has delivered one of the most significant social contribution projects in recent years: the complete renovation of the country’s two largest pediatric hospitals — “Agia Sofia” and “Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou.”

From 2014 to 2022, a total of 30 renovation projects were completed, covering 14,960 square meters and including 23 modern hospital units with a capacity of 564 beds. With a strong focus on childcare, a pleasant and functional healing environment was created.

This initiative is a tangible demonstration of our commitment to investing in actions with meaningful social impact, strengthening Health, Sports, and Employment.

Children Hospital "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou"

Upgrade with a Focus on Children

The renovation of the “Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital aimed to create a modern, safe, and welcoming care environment.
Through extensive structural repairs, aesthetic improvements, and technological upgrades, the project included:

• Redesign of patient rooms with integrated hygiene facilities
• Modernization of electromechanical systems (air conditioning, heating, ventilation)
• Installation of new medical and hospitality equipment

The result? A hospital with a refreshed image and improved conditions for children, parents, and staff.

The main creative concept that will run across the building is the children’s play with moving and dear objects that uplift us from the earthy environment to the clouds along with children’s imagination.

Renovation of the Nursing Units and common areas

The renovation of the “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital marked a significant upgrade of its infrastructure, aiming to create an environment that combines safety, functionality, and warmth for young patients and their families.

The project included:

• Extensive structural repairs and aesthetic improvements
• Modern air conditioning, heating, and ventilation systems
• New medical and hospitality equipment for optimal care

The hospital now meets the highest standards and offers improved conditions for children, parents, and staff.

The creative concept which will run across the separate creatives per Nursing Ward is inspired by the historic, social and intellectual evolution of humanity. Therefore, it will represent human intellect’s greatest accomplishments in the form of a game.
