Children Hospital Renovation Program

OPAP actively engaged to the renovation of the two largest public hospitals in Greece, since 2014

The Children Hospitals renovation initiative was completed in 2022, offering a significant legacy for the public health. In total, 30 renovation projects were completed, of 14.960 sq.m2 total area, which include 23 nursing units that surpass international standards and accommodate 564 beds.

The key objectives of OPAP’s Children Hospital Renovation program were to:

operationally and technically upgrade at the utmost the Hospital Nursing Units and Outpatient Clinics in need

create a pleasant therapeutic environment for the sick children and their relatives via the proper design, chromatic treatment and the entire renovation of hospital premises, waiting and examination rooms of young patients

Children Hospital "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou"

Learn about the complete renovation of the Nursing Units and common areas at "Panagiotis & Aglaia Kyriakou" Children's Hospital

The substantial intervention in the hospital area, in order to complete all the needed building and creative changes, has been a focal point of the “P.A. Kyriakou” Children Hospital renovation.

The renovated areas, that have been delivered to the hospital management, have accomplished to change entirely the image of the hospital and offer a pleasant therapeutic environment for the children, their parents, the medical and nursing staff. All the works, implemented in the Hospital, include the creation of hygiene areas in the nursing units, the upgrade of electric and technical installations, including the air conditioning and ventilation equipment, based on the most up-to-date international standards and specifications as well as the installation of hotel and office equipment for the areas used by the medical and nursing staff.

Indicatively, OPAP has delivered the following works:

Children Hospital "Agia Sofia"

Renovation of the Nursing Units and common areas

The complete renovation, rearrangement and upgrade of the Nursing Units and the common areas of “Aghia Sofia” Hospital have completely reformed it, creating a pleasant environment for the children, their parents and the nursing and medical staff.

Construction and decoration works in the Hospital are consistently followed by the creation of hygiene areas in the Nursing Units, the upgrade of electric and technical installations, including the air conditioning and ventilation equipment, based on the most up-to-date international standards and specifications as well as the installation of hotel and office equipment for the areas used by the medical and nursing staff.
